Meanwhile, former cub prix ace Azlan Shah who had promoted to Supersport category this season onwards, lived up to his expectation by winning both the races.

“There is stiff competition in the first few laps but then the better machines will be leading the pack. I’m happy to have go a good start to the MSS Supersport season but it is still too early to predict how the rest of the season will be,” said the 25-year-old Shah Alam born.

Y ou got to admire the tenacity of Bryan Kuang. After fracturing his leg from a motorcross practice session in Malaysia, Bryan has bounced back from a six-month absence to win his first cub race after just two practice runs on the circuit track.
“I’m very delighted to win the 2nd race of the Cub series after such a long layoff. I was very focused and knew exactly what I had to do to get in front. Everything worked out well and the bike ran perfectly for me to cross the finish line in first place”, commented Bryan. The 2006 supermotard champion fought his way pass more than ten racers to clinch the win. Bryan had led the series last year till August where certain sponsorship and personal issues forced him to retire from the championship early.

Bryan is back as a privateer racer with the support of HKL Racing. Watch out for the comeback kid as he continues to blast his way into the 2009 Cub race season at the Singapore Circuit at Tuas.
