ProCharger Power Commander

Bike Dyno Service
A dyno, simply put, is a simulation test to see how well your bike is running and gives you the exact performance numbers of your bike.

HKL is able to diagnose your bike's performance problems and state of tune of your bike. It accurately calibrates running issues in a controlled environment. Want to measure the rear wheel torque, horsepower, speed, RPM, air/fuel, commanded AFR, spark advance and throttle position? We can do it for you.

Graphs and reports of your bike's torque or fuelling characteristics and your bike's power will also be given after a dyno session.

Dyno Tuning services are also available for you to tune your bike to the way you want it. We are also able to adjust fuel delivery and ignition timing in your bike.

A basic test gives information about your bike's:
  • Maximum power and torque
  • Detection of ignition faults
  • Carburation faults identified
  • Clutch condition
  • Condition of chain and sprockets
  • Frame alignment
  • Wheel alignment

There are dyno for new engines (Dyno break-in) and used bikes (Dyno run-in).

Dyno Break-in (For New Engines)

Team HKL Bike Dyno on Harley Bike Nowadays, the piston ring seal is really what the break-in process (for new bikes) is all about. Contrary to popular belief, piston rings do not seal the combustion pressure by spring tension. Ring tension is necessary only to prevent the oil from entering the combustion chamber.

Dyno would more accurately measure your bike as it is computerized and is more focused than riders running-in on the road. Also, there are many factors which could distract the riders and throttle control is difficult to be determined by the rider.

There are 3 kinds of run-ins for new engines and the details for the run-ins are as stated below.

Soft run-in
  • Do thrice on ½ throttle
  • From 3000rpm to 6000rpm
  • Cool down for 15mins
Medium run-in
  • Do thrice on ¾ throttle
  • From 3000rpm to 9000rpm
  • Cool down for 15mins
Hard run-in
  • Do thrice on full throttle
  • From 3000rpm to Red Zone
  • Cool down for 15mins
